The edifice was built in 1698 and painted in 1700 by the hierodeacon Iosif and by the painter Ion. The “Sfinţii Apostoli Petru și Pavel” (The Holy Apostles Peter and Paul) Hermitage lies 500 m away from the hill to the north of the Hurezi Monastery and it was built by the Archimandrite Ioan, between 1698–1700. The proportions of the building are harmonious, its architecture is correct and austere, it has a length of 14 m and the maximum exterior width of the veranda is of 5 m.
